Rocksbox Review

Jewelry has never really been my forte. My go-to's are usually some midi rings and my everyday sentimental gold necklace from my grandma. Sometimes I'll feel bold and wear a cheap statement necklace I bought from Charlotte Russe or Forever21. But then a subscription box called Rocksbox came along and changed my whole outlook on accessorizing.

I want to start off this review by explaining what exactly Rocksbox is, and then I will go into what was in my first box!

Rocksbox is a monthly designer jewelry subscription box for $19.99 a month. What's really cool about it is that a after taking your initial style survey, a stylist hand picks three pieces of jewelry for your monthly box. After taking the survey you can also browse through some of the options and create a wish-list, which your stylist will use as a reference for creating your box! Once you get your box you are free to rock those pieces for as long as you'd like. Once you decide you are through with them you just pack them up and send them back (return label is printed for you in the box). Once you send your pieces back you are sent three new options!

I do want to point out that the $19.99 is the membership fee (not per box). So you get charged that monthly no matter how often you switch out your boxes. So if you don't like any of your pieces in your box, pack it up and send it back that day and get a new one asap.

If you decide you are in love with a piece from your box you just keep it and send the others back. The benefit is you get to try out designer jewelry and see if you really love it, then if you receive a discounted price which is shown on the pamphlet that comes inside the box. Plus each "Shine Insider" receives $10 off each month which then can be used towards purchases!

Now onto my box! I took the survey and got my box in about a week total! I want to start off with how adorable the packaging is. It comes in a very sturdy box and has adorable chevron paper lining the inside. They also take the time to print your name on a little card that is explaining each of your pieces (extra points for spelling my name right as well).

Plus, who doesn't love when packages come with inspiring quotes inside!?

Besides the packaging, another thing I am extremely impressed by is they actually listened to my survey answers! I stated that I do not wear any earrings and that I would mainly appreciate necklaces or rings. My first box contained two necklaces and one bracelet, no earrings which I was very happy for! I also said that I wear more gold than silver, and all of my options are gold!

The first necklace is what they based my whole box around. This beautiful statement necklace from Perry Street was one that I added to my wish-list!

The next piece is this gorgeous dainty gold necklace from Sophie Harper, which I absolutely love!

My last piece was this really fun gold and turquoise bracelet from House of Harlow.

I do love all of the pieces in my first box, and will wear them often for a few weeks. However, I will be sending them all back and looking forward to my next three options! The only thing I wish was in my box was maybe a cute ring instead of the bracelet.

Let me break down the pros and cons of this subscription box:

  • A rotating supply of designer jewelry, that you can wear until you are done with it and then send it back for more....NO COMMITMENT
  • Discounted prices on designer jewelry if you can't part ways with it
  • It's fun to receive cute packages in the mail made just for you!
  • Having a personal stylist pick out jewelry for you is pretty rad...
  • They listen to what you like and don't like!
  • You can cancel your membership at any time
  • Because you are sending jewelry back, the one's you are receiving are used jewelry but they are all cleaned and sanitized before sent out

If you want to know more about Rocksbox check out their FAQ page, it really helped me to understand it a bit better.

If you are interested in signing up use the coupon code nikoledebellxoxo at checkout for your first month free!!! Even if you want to try it out for the first month only, you can cancel at anytime!

Would you try Rocksbox?!
xoxo, Nikole
