L'Oreal Miss Manga Mascara Review

L'Oreal is one of my all time favorite brands from the drugstore for mascara. I saw a lot of people talking about this "Miss Manga" mascara and I must admit, I was pretty skeptical at first. I am usually not one for the "gimmicky" products, and this just seemed like a flashy gimmick to me. But, when Ulta was having their 40% off L'Oreal products sale I figured I might as well pick it up to try.

I have been using this mascara for about a week now and I have to say that even though the packaging is sort of random to me, the product inside is actually really great! I actually really like the tapered wand because it helps plump out the outer lashes and still coat the inner most. The brush is also flexible like some mascaras are featuring lately, where in the middle of the wand it is bendable, and allows an easier application.

In these images I did not curl my lashes ( I don't on a daily basis) and found it created and held a curl very nicely.

Pros:
  • Volumizing
  • Lengthening
  • Not clumpy
  • Very black
  • Tapered brush gets every lash
  • Long-wearing- does not smudge

Cons:
  • On bottom lashes can get clumpy (need a light hand)

I really don't have very many issues with this mascara besides the fact that you do need a light hand when applying it to the bottom lashes. However, when applying to the top it is not clumpy what so ever! I feel it is very buildable to get the length and volume you are looking for and it does an amazing job at both of them.

Typically I use about 2-3 different mascaras to get my desired length and volume. For the past week I have only used this mascara (two coats) and been more than happy with the results.

This mascara claims to:
  • 360 degree flexor brush helps build 15x more volume
  • Does not flake, clump or smudge
  • Top lashes amplified and bottom lashes maximized for ultimate wide eye-look
I honestly believe it does live up to the claims that this product is making. I will be repurchasing this when I run out (not sure if this is a permanent product or limited edition).

Have you tried this mascara before and would you?

xoxo, Nikole
