Castlewood Organic Coffee Bean Scrub Review

Last month I reviewed some amazing all natural products from a local business of my hometown called Castlewood. They just came out with a new organic coffee bean scrub, which of course, I had to put to the test.

Castlewood's products are always made with all natural ingredients which is an amazing feature because you know exactly what is in the product you are about to put all over your body. For instance, the coffee bean scrub is made with...
  • Organic ground coffee beans
  • Dead sea salt
  • Epsom salt
  • Olive oil
  • Sweet almond oil
  • Vitamin E
  • Essential oils
Which you can find right on the label!

The directions of this product say to apply a handful of the scrub in a swirling motion on your skin (if you read my last review on the dry brushes from Castlewood it is recommended to apply in that same swirling motion you would the dry brush). Then, let the product sit for about 5-10 minutes before washing it off.

(Please excuse the appearance of the label, the shower water made it run a bit)

I applied this while in the shower, which I'm sure most people would. I found that it is pretty difficult to keep it on for 5-10 minutes without the shower water washing it right off but for the most part, I kept it on for about 5 minutes. The packaging also says that this product is great for...

  • Cell rejuvenation
  • Cellulite

Instantly my skin was extremely smooth. I love this scrub because it is made with all natural ingredients that won't dry out your skin with harsh chemicals like other scrubs you might buy from your local drugstore would. I find that most other scrubs will make you feel smooth at first, but after a while it wears off. Once I used this product, even into the next day my skin still felt soft and rejuvenated.

I would definitely recommend that this product is only for body use only. Do not try to use this as a facial scrub because the coffee beans would be too abrasive to the sensitive skin on the face, but they are perfect for body.

Also, please be aware that this is messy! If you take showers in the morning before work, I would recommend only using this on days when you have a bit of extra time...because you will have some clean up once you're finished. My first time using got everywhere (which the packaging does point out mind you!).  But to me, a little clean up after your shower is worth it for this!

The next few times I tried the scrub things went a little smoother.

  • I find that once you are ready to apply the scrub if you push the inner lining of the shower curtain out of the tub...clean up is much easier (because the beans don't get stuck in the plastic lining)!
  • If the product starts to go all over simply wipe it down as you go with a washcloth
I would 100% recommend this to those of you that love to use body scrubs in the shower! Also if you are looking for a natural remedy for help with cellulite or cell rejuvenation.

Would you think about giving this product a try?!

xoxo, Nikole
