May Beauty Favorites

Woah, where has the time gone? May is already over with and it is June?! This year has just been blowing by! Although it feels like May 1st was just yesterday, I of course managed to discover some new (and some oldies-but-goodies) beauty products throughout the past month that I really loved.

This product was very exciting to me. First of all because I loved the original formula of the Maybelline BB Cream, but then when I saw they came out "Dream Pure BB" that included Salicylic Acid (which works wonders on my skin) I had to have it! I went right out to Wal-Mart that day, they had it, and I bought it! I find it has very sheer coverage (which is really all that I need) and leaves a pretty dewy/satin finish on the skin (which I love having dry skin).

This was another new product I picked up in May, it is the Revlon Colorstay Eyeshadow Quad in Wild. I had previously done a review on this product in which I explain how I did not like any of these Revlon eyeshadows before trying this one. I loved this quad all month...the colors, the formula, the staying power everything just worked for me!

Another newbie from Maybelline that I was absolutely obsessing over (and still am) is the Color Elixir in Orange Aglow. I believe that this is a limited addition shade and not sure how long it will be around for so if you can find it...GET IT! This color is absolutely perfect for summer and can be worn so many different ways by so many different skin tones! I now want more of these Color Elixirs, the formula is awesome and I love the little applicator it comes with.

My last newly discovered favorite product of the mouth was this Maybelline Mega Plush Deep Velvet's Mascara in Emerald Velvet. I love to apply this mascara to my bottom lashes for a little something extra. It really makes my green eyes pop even-more and just adds a little wow factor to the look

I have been using this mascara constantly this past month. The Essence Get BIG! Lashes Mascara is super affordable and really great. I love the volume and thickness it adds to my lashes. If you find that it doesn't really provide you with as much length as you like, just curl those lashes!

The Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer is an oldie-but-goodie for me. I have loved this product for about a year now, however since I know I love it I always try to find other concealers. I found myself coming back to this a lot this month. It blends out immaculately, highlights like a dream and looks flawless

Lastly, another oldie-but-goodie is the Milani Brow Fix Kit in light-medium. I had been using my Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade non-stop and sort of neglected this product. I started craving a quicker routine and I find that this product is what can give me a perfectly filled in brow, but within seconds!

What were your favorite beauty products this month?!

  1. I'm really interested to try Maybelline's new BB cream-I suffer from several skin problems so I'm curious if I can combine skincare & foundation into one product!

    A Thing of Beauty

    1. Kelly, It is definitely something to look into then! However I will say, if you are looking for something that is full coverage you won't find it in this product. It will more even your skin tone than cover imperfections.
